Still learning Swedish

My Swedish word of the day today is fotgängare which is a person who goes by foot or a pedestrian. I have to admit that this is my main mode of transportation with public trains coming in a close second and then driving a distant third. Maybe when I get my ass over to Sweden I can be like these fotgängare!

When I mention that I’m learning Swedish to people some are happy and think that's great and some bring up the Swedish Chef from the Muppets.  I love the Swedish Chef and below is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.



I’m planning on buying a car, hopefully by next spring for the camping season so that I won’t be a fotgängare quite so much (not that I mind). I think I’ll go with a small VW of some sort; they are always reliable and fun to drive.
