When I was 18 I left school and moved to London for a year. I loved it so much and even though it’s 15 years later I still miss it and the people I knew there. There was a large group of us who met at the hostel we were at when we first arrived. Some of them decided to get a place together and I (fortunately for me) followed along after a while and crashed on couches and floors. One of those people was Susanne and I saw her once when I was living in Dublin and Tanya came to Vancouver and we visited but other than that I haven’t seen anyone since I left.
Recently both Drew and Susanne came to Vancouver for a visit so I had a wonderful summer with two of my favourite people in the world. No matter how much older we feel the same when we get together and both of their visits brought out the old me and I’m so thankful they came.
